Understand AI and market data
Most AI tools used in market research are pattern machines. They take in large amounts of data — prices, news, company filings — and produce summaries, classifications or predictions based on patterns they have seen before. They do not "understand" markets the way a person does; they estimate what is statistically likely given their training, which is a powerful but narrow kind of reasoning.
Knowing this shapes how you use them. An AI tool is excellent at reading a thousand pages overnight and poor at knowing which of those pages actually mattered. The reading it does is real; the judgement about importance is still yours to supply.
